Cybersecurity · Eastern Caribbean

Cybersecurity for Caribbean businesses: a senior expert next door, in your time zone.

Based in Guadeloupe, in the heart of the Lesser Antilles, I help business owners across the English-speaking Caribbean prevent and handle cyberattacks, scams and account takeovers — remotely, right away.

Remote, right away · Time zone UTC−4

Island businesses, global threats

Hotels, villa rentals, financial services, retailers and professional firms across the islands face the same scams as everywhere: business email compromise, fake invoices, hijacked WhatsApp accounts, ransomware — often with limited local IT support.

I understand island constraints: small teams, overseas vendors, tourism-driven peaks. I coordinate your IT provider, bank and staff so you can make clear decisions fast.

Who to notify after an attack

  1. 01

Your bank, immediately, after any fraudulent transfer.

  2. 02

Your local police and, where one exists, your national CIRT.

  3. 03

In the US Virgin Islands: the FBI's IC3 (ic3.gov).

  4. 04

Your data protection authority if personal data was exposed — I help you assess whether you must.

From the first call to business as usual.

Remote assessment, containment, identifying the entry point, coordination with your IT providers and software vendors.

Scams and fraud

Fake bank details, CEO fraud, fake tech support, phishing: analysis, bank procedures, complaint, preventing a repeat.

Hacked accounts and messaging

WhatsApp Business, Meta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365: recovery, hardening, informing your contacts.

A clear picture of your access rights, backups, online software and vendors, with a prioritised action plan.

Staff awareness

Short, practical sessions based on the scams actually seen across the Caribbean.

Vacation rentals · SaaS

Attack on a real-estate agency's management software

Situation

A vacation-rental agency loses control of its online management software: hijacked access, with a direct risk to bookings, guest data and payments.

What we did

  • Immediate account lockdown and revocation of suspicious access
  • Coordination with the software vendor
  • Review of bookings, bank details and messages sent to guests
  • Two-factor authentication and role-based access rights

Takeaway

Online software is not secure “by default”: your accounts and access rights make the difference.

WhatsApp Business · Malicious link

Business WhatsApp taken over through a corrupted link

Situation

A business owner clicks a link received by message. Their business WhatsApp is hijacked and used to solicit customers and contacts.

What we did

  • Account recovery and logout of unknown devices
  • Two-step verification turned on
  • Warning message drafted for customers and contacts
  • Check of other exposed accounts (email, social media)

Takeaway

One click is enough. Two-step verification and a habit of doubt prevent most cases.

FAQ

English-speaking Caribbean

Can you help us remotely from Guadeloupe?

Yes. Diagnosis, account recovery, coordination with your IT provider and bank all work remotely — and usually faster.

Our accounts team paid a fake invoice. What now?

Call your bank right away to request a recall, keep every email, file a police report, then let's find out how the attacker got in — usually a compromised mailbox — and lock it down.

A doubt, an attack, a scam? Let's talk now.

Fast response by phone or WhatsApp. If your WhatsApp is compromised, call or email instead.
